We welcome all licensed pilots to our grass strip (Eyres Field) in the heart of Dorset. Landing fee £15 payable here.

Request Permission
Prior Permission Required (PPR) is mandatory for all visiting aircraft. Please complete our PPR form, below, before your visit and don't set off until you've received permission.
Runway & Circuits
Eyre's Field traffic on 132.910. Fly West circuits at 800' AAL and do not overfly Monkey World (approximately 1km finals for runway 36).
Parking & Facilities
Parking is available on the grass near the club house which has kitchen facilities and toilets. We are around 3 miles by road from Wool train station and 15 minutes by road from Corfe Castle.
Places to visit
Visiting pilots will find plenty to see and do close to Eyres Field, from camping, glamping and alpaca walks at Longthorns Farm to clay shooting and outdoor activities at Purbeck Shooting School. The local area is also within easy reach of Wareham, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, The Tank Museum and the Jurassic Coast. For pilots who would like to explore further afield after landing, local car hire may be available through Turo, subject to availability.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions - The 400m x 35m grass runway is undulating and can be quite bumpy in extremely dry conditions, so caution is advised when taking-off and landing.
The runway itself drains reasonably well, but the areas on either side of the runway can be very soft and, after heavy rain, waterlogged. Therefore, please use the minimum amount of breaking for your aircraft, taxi slowly and do not turn sharply on the runway to avoid surface damage.
